ABOUT ME

​I am a Research Professor ("Investigador Titular A") at the Institute for Philosophical Research of UNAM. I am also the Editor-in-Chief of Crítica. Revista Hispanoamericana de Filosofía. 
 
Before that, I held research positions at the University of Antwerp (2019) and the University of Geneva (2011-2016). Between 2016-2019, I was a Visiting Scholar at New York University (NYU) and Rutgers University, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. 

​I earned my PhD in philosophy and cognitive science at Institut Jean Nicod (2010).
​   
My main areas of specialization are epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of cognitive science.

My current and future projects include papers on the following topics: 

• The structure of justification (the problem of easy knowledge, dogmatism, and transmission failure).
• Skepticism, inquiry, and the externalism/internalism divide.
• The I-concept.
• Perceptual reference, representational formats, and object recognition.​ ​

I conduct my mentoring of early-career researchers within the framework of the Experience, Reason, and Action (ERA) research group.
